Seal Rocks

We left Sydney mid morning and stopped off at Seal Rocks; a small picturesque fishing village with beautiful beaches in the Great Lakes region, it’s named after the Australian Fur Seals but we didn’t see any.

After getting lost (it’s even easier with 4 people!) we finally arrive at our Airbnb accommodation for the night, (there isn’t a lot to say about Kempsey **, it is just a place to sleep for the night; but well located to tour the coast tomorrow) Tom our host tells us that there are loads of Possum in the garden, Sue is thrilled as she hasn’t seen any yet, so as the sun sets she sits in anticipation armed with camera …

** not really fair on Kempsey, it’s a pleasant place, mainly famous for:

  • cutting red cedar, we’re guessing Tom’s bungalow floor was red cedar
  • Slim Dusty – country and western star
  • Thomas Keneally – author of Schindlers Ark
